Our program is Student Run led by our Teacher/Director Mrs. Cheryl Jackson. What that means is our students are involved in all aspects of our productions guided by Mrs. Jackson. Tech departments include lights, sound, props, set design & build, costume, hair & make-up with student department heads for each of our tech departments that are staffed by students in the program. We have student directors for many of our shows that work with Mrs. Jackson to complete those productions.
The student board works closely with Mrs. Jackson to make decisions and plans for the school year to make sure the program is the best it can be!

LETTERING IN DRAMA
In order to Letter in Drama at SHS, a student must have at least the following:
Participate in 75% of the main stage shows
Children’s Show
One Act/Lovefest
Musical
Have at least 30 ITS points and be a member in good standing
Earn an individual or group excellent or superior in a competitive theatre experience (MIFA or META – Thespians Festival)
One of the following: Either 1 ½ semesters of Theater Class OR 2 years participation in Thespian Festival
Parents: we do have an active Booster club that you are all a part of. We need your support! The Booster club helps raise and maintain funds to allow this program to work smoothly. Mrs. Jackson, the students and the program do have a wish list of items needed that we've either never had before or that desperately need replacing. That being said we will do fundraisers this year with your help. The Booster Club does have a Parent Board, we do have spots open that we would love for you to fill. Right now our 2021-2022 Booster Board is President- Katy Pavlik with Meghan Brummel joining the team, open positions include Vice- President, Treasurer, Secretary and Members at Large. We try to keep the time commitment low as we are all busy people, we aim to meet 4 times a year (once before each big event) and communicate through e-mail often.
Many of you have helped at events over the years and we appreciate all you have done, we can't wait to see you all again. In addition to the open board positions we'd love some ideas and input on things you'd like to see. We are constantly working on better communication and low pressure fundraisers. Our staple fundraisers have been several bottle drives during the year, our sweet show raffle and auction event, working shifts at Jimmy John's Baseball Field over the summer, show and troupe apparel sales, ticket and concession sales, and the purchasing of advertising in our programs.
