China Centre For Resources Satellite Data and Application (referred to as “CRESDA”) was founded in 1991. It is the data center of national land observation satellites, and a subsidiary institution of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. CRESDA is under the operational guidance of China National Space Administration and National Development and Reform Commission.
CRESDA is operating 31 civil earth observation satellites in orbit, including CBERS series satellites, ZiYuan and GaoFen satellites, other space infrastructure satellites and so on. The center is responsible for implementing the national land observation satellites plan and the relevant national data policies, operating and managing the civil land observation satellites, processing and archiving the satellite data products, providing public services for government and society.
CRESDA actively carries out the national ‘one belt, one road’ policy, promote the international cooperation and technology communication, and provides the satellite services for the international community. The center will make use of satellite resources and technologies to contribute to the well-being of all mankind.
